People of Nyagenke Village at Bendera primary school area in Magenche Ward, Bomachoge Borabu Constituency are crying about the lack of electricity.

According to the residents, despite the availability of electricity in Bendera Primary and the presence of a transformer at the locality, their homes have not been connected with electricity.

“We have lived here for many years, we have never seen electric power in our homesteads despite being installed at a nearby local primary school,” they narrated.

The residents are now crying for help from the area MP Obadiah Barongo who is yet to take action.

“We are asking the area MP to help us, our children go to school at 6 am but wait until 8 am to start lessons since the classes have no lights,” the residents said.

Nyagenke being in the remote areas of Bomachoge Borabu constituency, the area has not seen the light as many places in Gusii-land have.

People living in the area are now asking the area MCA Timothy Ogugu to take immediate action and help them develop the area and solve the sinking state.
