KITHURE KINDIKI:13 SCHOOLS WILL BE REOPENED IN WESTPOKOT

Interior and national administration cabinet secretary Kithure Kindiki has directed the reopening of 13 schools that had been closed due to wanton insecurity in West Pokot County.
Speaking at a stakeholder engagement in West Pokot on Thursday 8th June, Kindiki further stamped the government’s commitment to weed out insecurity in the North, directing those in possession of illegal firearms, to willingly give them up or face the full force of the law.
“We will ensure security and in return we want all the weapons that are not licensed to be surrendered and if not surrendered, we will get them by force,” said Kindiki.
Kindiki also announced that government will spend Sh100m to reconstruct 13 schools that were destroyed.
