Kisii County Woman Representative, Doris Donya Toto, was on site at Tabaka, Kisii County, overseeing the commencement of a vital borehole project. This initiative is made possible through the National Government Affirmative Action, and it represents a significant step toward alleviating water scarcity challenges in the region.

Speaking during the launch of the borehole project, Doris Donya Toto emphasized the critical need for water storage facilities in Kisii County.

She stated, “The individuals responsible for resource allocation at the national government level often claim that Kisii experiences neither hunger nor water shortages. While it is true that we are blessed with abundant rainfall, what we lack are adequate water storage facilities. If we had these in place, we would never have to approach the national government with water scarcity issues.”
