As Kenya continues to battle an economic crisis that seems to have persisted for quite sometimes now, there’s an urgent need to find a long lasting solution to arrest the situation at hand to prevent further adverse effects.
Yes , there exist other important aspects and options to restore economic glory of Kenya but only if the Government invests in “youths”, it would be sure of sorting this menace that has continued to set it’s sharp horn across the country.
According to the world bank Report, the Youth account for about 75% of Kenya’s total population. These are young vibrant innovative people who if fully enabled and utilized have the potential to restore our country’s economy that is quickly going down.
In recent years, manufacturing industries have upgraded to a more advanced working area as they majorly do not involve manual labour but rather calls for technical skills in it’s Operations.
Therefore the government partnering with other stakeholders ought to empower young people through knowledge of science and technology to build on their capacities to secure employment opportunities in these industries. By doing so, the government is sure of killing two birds with one stone as it would not only boost it’s revenue collection but also enable these young people to feed themselves and their dependants.
Basically , for Kenya to prosper, it should invest heavily in young people.
