Tanzanian President Arrives in Kenya

Two months after she was confirmed as the President of the Republic of Tanzania, Samia Suluhu has come to Kenya for a two-day state visit. On April 11 she met President Yoweri Museveni of Uganda in Kampala to strengthen the ties of the two countries and discuss how to finalize the (EACOP) East African Crude Oil Pipeline Tripartite project agreement as Yoweri said.
Her plane landed at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) at 10am. Surprisingly, Suluhu and her delegation had worn masks on arrival. President Uhuru Kenyatta will receive her at the State House, Nairobi.
The aim of her visit will be to strengthen Kenya-Tanzania bilateral ties and enable smooth trade between the two countries. The State House spokesperson Kanze Dena Mararo said that other details of Samia Suluhu’s State visit will be communicated later during her visit.
On Wednesday, President Suluhu is relied upon to address a joint sitting of Parliament and on the other hand is booked to hold interviews at a business discussion for Tanzanian and Kenyan business local area and will likewise address a social affair of leading ladies in business.
Samia Suluhu, Africa’s just sitting female president right now, took over from John Pombe Magufuli following his demise in March,2021.
