SUSPECTS ACCUSED OF MURDERING US-BASED NYAMIRA COUPLE DENY ALLEGATIONS

Three suspects accused of murder in Nyamira County have denied the allegations posed against them in Nyamira courts on Friday 26th May 2023.
The three suspects, Peris Ondara, Dennis Ondara, Peter Njoroge are accused of killing Edward Morema and his wife Grace Mong’ina who are Kenyans who have been residing in USA.
The dead were found murdered on March 21st, 2023 at their home.
According to the autopsy report conducted on the two bodies at the Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital, Mr. Morema was hit two times on his head with a blunt object and sustained three stab injuries on his ribs, while his wife Grace died of strangulation.
Judge Winfrida Okwany who heard the case through the internet ordered the two to be detained in the Kisii Prisons.
“The three will be detained at the Kisii Prisons, because no material has been placed before me to show that the safety of the accused will be due,” she said.
She added that the matter will be mentioned again in court on 30th of May.
