The ODM Party has reached a decision to expel Siaya Deputy Governor William Oduol, accussing him being associated with the UDA party undermining the efforts of the Party.

After a meeting held on Sunday 28th in Siaya which was attended by Governor James Orengo and party officials from the county, Walter Okello said the party has resolved to part ways with Oduol over disloyalty.

“The Siaya County Deputy Governor is compelled to resign from his position since he no longer subscribes to the ideals and aspirations of the party. The meeting has resolved that he be expelled, and is hereby expelled,” he said.

These resolutions follow an order from ODM’s Secretary for Political Affairs Opiyo Wandayi, who asked Oduol to resign over his ‘toxic relationship’ with Governor James Orengo.

“Hon. Oduol should tender his resignation without any further delay. This would then create room for Hon. Orengo to appoint a replacement with whom he can harmoniously steer the County Government of Siaya,” said Wandanyi.

The ODM party under Azimio One Kenya coallition accuse William Oduol of letting down his duties that he was elected to carry out in Siaya county.
