CONSTRUCTION OF KISII-ISEBANIA ROAD COMMENDED

Expansion of Kisii-Isebania Road has been commended since it has led to an increase in commercial activities in Suneka Market after over five years of construction.
The project which is part of the Kisii-Ahero-Isebania Road project located mainly in Kisii and Migori is the only unique road in Kisii County.
Speaking from Suneka town, residents and motorists have stood to confirm the benefits from the construction of a junction interchange at Daraja Mbili and widening of the rest of the road up to Isebania which was previously narrow.
“We are happy that this road is now almost fully constructed. We are sure that there will be an increased number of users of this road and our town will develop even more,” said a resident.
Suneka residents are urging the main contractor M/S China Henan International Cooperation Group Ltd , hurry up while finalizing the construction so that business activities may be carried out peacefully.
“We need the endless traffic jam formally experienced to be a past tense. Let the constructors hurry up so that we can get rid of it,” added a motorist.
There is no doubt that the project will greatly impact the economic development of towns along the corridor. Kisii, being a business hub, requires more road expansion projects.
