Burglars Break Into Kericho Church, Steal Cash

Unknown robbers broke into a pastoral house at a Parish in Litein and stole an unidentified quantity of cash, according to Kericho police.
According to a report from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, the thugs stormed into the St. Mark Catholic Parish house on Tuesday night when the priests were deep sleeping (DCI).

According to Parish Priest Fr Moses Langat, who reported the crime to the Litein Police Station, the suspects “gained access into the church and destroyed the tabernacle, a liturgical item used to contain the Eucharist.”

Police officers have already visited the area and reviewed the evidence in attempt to catch the culprits.
