Jubilee Deputy Party Leader Fred Matiang’i has warned the Kenya Kwanza administration against what he terms as continued disrespect toward former President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Speaking in Kiambu during a Jubilee Party delegates meeting at Kiambu Golf Club, Matiang’i said Uhuru has a right to speak, maintaining that retirement is not imprisonment.
He insisted that Kenyans will continue preaching peace and unity, adding that the Jubilee Party will remain focused on championing the interests of citizens.
Matiang’i also said the party will continue working closely with the United Opposition Coalition.
“I will step up to the responsibilities, and I will not let you down, and I will humbly work with everybody, among them united opposition and the wananchi,” Matiang’i said.
He further said the party will closely scrutinise the Finance Bill 2026, adding that Jubilee remains committed to protecting the interests of Kenyans through legislative and political engagement.
