Kisii County Deputy Governor Joash Maangi and other Gusii leaders who were arrested on Monday during the funeral service of late former Cabinet Minister Simeon Nyachae have threatened to sue the state.

South Mugirango Member of Parliament Silvanus Osoro explained how he was abandoned in a thicket after being released from custody at midnight.

The leaders castigated security officers for being misused by the government to frustrate perceived key political allies of the DP.

Former Kisii mayor Samuel Omwando who was arrested on Sunday said that it was their political right to support DP Ruto.

The leaders spoke on Tuesday in South Mugirango during a public function where they agreed to make a joint complaint before a court of law.
