Overgrown doubts and uncertainty now reigns over once verdant gardens, lush and vibrant.
Maxims, proverbs, sayings and witticism once uttered wisely and with reverence; are now autumn leaves in fading breezes; their wisdom clinging onto reminiscences of bygone eras.
Sayings once carved on marbles and precious stones are ephemeral, fickle, finite and rickety grounded; their meanings lost to the evolving contemporary world.
The globe is ardently and profusely seeking spick and span symbols of purpose, bald, cogent, glib, indelible and inexorable truth.
Like stained glass shattered by time’s voracious march, the communities of old fracture into fragments of memories and nostalgia.
Where once stood beacons of hope, their spires now cast long shadows over empty pews and vanishing frescoes.
