Red Hot Shabana FC top National Super League NSL

Shabana FC will be fighting for the crown in the second tier of Kenyan league National Super League when it will meet Naivas FC on 15th Sunday at Camp Toyoyo.

Shabana head coach Sammy Okoth was delighted by the teams’ performance during their latest match held on Wednesday 11th where they beat Mwatate United 5 – 0 at Gusii Stadium.

“The today’s match has been remarkable but I feel we need to do more as a team, it’s a plus for us compared to the last match where we won 1 – 0, we are heading in the right direction,” – Sammy Okoth.

Currently Shabana top the National Super League (NSL) with 16 points having won 5 matches and drawn 1.

On the other side, Gusii FC will try to maintain the top ten slot when it will face 11th placed Mwatate United on Monday at Wundanyi stadium.

Speaking during their two to nil win over Mara Sugar, head coach Kassim Junior praised his boys for the game well played, motivating them to keep the candle burning.

“Today’s match was not easy for us but our players are now tactically good. We had a good preparation on how to counter their play, considering that they are ahead us on the table,” said Kassim Junior.

Although he was pleased with the team’s play, he noted that they expected a huge win after the 9 – 1 thriller over struggling Vihiga United.
