PRESIDENT WILLIAM RUTO SUPPORTS THE NEW LAW

President William Ruto drummed his support for the Finance Bill 2023, on Tuesday 26th June few hours after signing it into law.
Speaking while launching a life assurance programme named Bodaboda Care, in KICC, Nairobi, President William Ruto said that the law will support citizens with low financial standards, more so the 1.5% housing levy.
“The housing program will reduce the housing cost to a level that even a Bodaboda rider can easily pay. I will work to ensure that all citizens are living in decent homes,” he said.
The president also elaborated more about benefits to be acquired by electric car and motorbike drivers, saying that the charging stations are about to be set up in different parts of the country.
“We will eliminate VAT on all infrastructure around charging stations which we are about to roll out,” the president added.
He also warned the opposition from opposing the newly signed law through protests stating that no matter the number of protests nothing will change saying that his government is under control and its working towards the benefits of common mwananchi.
