KNEC has outlined what candidates should expect during the mandatory rehearsals, urging them to use the exercise to confirm the dates and times of each examination paper.
Candidates have also been advised to verify their examination centre details and index numbers to avoid administrative errors that could disrupt their examinations.
The council further urged candidates to carefully review any special instructions relating to their theory or practical papers, noting that different examinations may have specific requirements that must be met.
Those who identify discrepancies in their timetables or personal details have been advised to report them immediately to their centre managers, who have been tasked with resolving such issues before the examinations begin.
The rehearsals are for post-school learners pursuing technical, vocational and business courses at National Polytechnics, Technical Training Institutes (TTIs), TVET institutions and Vocational Training Centres across the country.
The examinations will be taken by both Single and Group Candidates, who progressively combine certificates from elementary to advanced levels, as well as Artisan Candidates, whose assessments focus primarily on practical occupational skills.
The announcement comes days after KNEC released the March 2026 Business and Technical examination results.
In a notice issued on July 13, the council directed heads of institutions to collect the results in person from New Mitihani House in South C, Nairobi, on weekdays between 8am and 5pm.
