COVID-19 VACCINE DONATION

The ongoing vaccination of Corona virus in Kenya hits the peak as the country received 880,460 doses of Moderna Vaccines early on Monday morning.
The Moderna vaccines is the second vaccine of Covid-19 to be received in the country after the first received vaccine of Covid-19 Astra Zeneca, with 1,615,687 people having received at least one dose and 780,377 fully vaccinated by 22nd of August 2021.The government has changed ways on how its administering the vaccine to its people, having a target of at least vaccinating 30million people before end of February 2022.
Health principal secretary Susan Mochache, who was representing CS Mutahi Kagwe spoke at the Jomo Kenyatta international airport on receiving the donation. “This would mark an important milestone in Kenya’s Covid-19 vaccination program for we will be”, She said. At the same time, she thanked other governments who have supported Kenya’s Covid-19 vaccination programme.
The total vaccine US government to Kenya shipment is 3.5 million doses of vaccines. A similar number of Moderna doses and a further 1.6 million doses of Pfizer vaccines are scheduled to be delivered mid next month.
