In Kajiado County today, Dr. Fred Matiang’i joined the Matura family in celebrating the Parental Blessings Ceremony of Baba Canon Ernest Ole Maturi.
He was accompanied by Jubilee Party’s Kajiado County gubernatorial candidate, Hon. Tarayia Ole Kores; Jubilee Deputy Party Leader, Hon. Manje; and the Member of Parliament for Bobasi, Hon. Innocent Obiri.
Responding to the ongoing disagreements within the United Opposition, Dr. Matiang’i called on leaders across the political divide to rise above political tantrums and personal differences and instead focus their energies on the challenges facing ordinary Kenyans.
He emphasized that regardless of political affiliation, the responsibility of every leader should be to address the real issues affecting the country, including the high cost of living, unemployment, poverty, insecurity and the lack of economic opportunities for millions of Kenyans.
Dr. Matiang’i also appealed to the Maa community to support his presidential bid, noting that his record in public service demonstrates his ability, experience and determination to confront Kenya’s challenges and deliver practical solutions to the problems facing citizens.
