Woman hangs self, Nyamira

Police in Nyamira are investigating a case where a middle-aged woman killed self under unknown circumstances.
Mellen Kemuma from Nyagenke village in Bosamaro ward West Mugirango constituency in Nyamira hanged herself some three hundred metres from her house.
Area assistant chief Richard Mwenche confirming the incident said that Kemuma was not at loggerheads with anybody at the moment something that has left many gazing on the azure skies maybe to know what transpired.
” I received a phone call from a villager this morning informing me that Mellen Kemuma Aricha has hanged herself, I informed the police who have picked the body,” noted Mwenche.
According to her children they had ab meal together last night and even beyond shared a verse and prayed before they retired to bed only to wake to the body of their mother hanging on a tree.
The body of the deceased was transfered to a morgue in Nyamira awaiting postmortem while the police have launched investigations to what might have led to her death.
Her husband was not at home at the time of the incident.
