The acting Governor for Nairobi county has been cleared by court to be sworn in as the new County Boss.
This comes after a bench of three judges made a ruling that Mike Sonko, former Governor of Nairobi county having been out of office for more than 10 consecutive months, will no longer be the Nairobi County Governor.

The adjudicators decided that his application trying to banish Kananu from being confirmed as the Nairobi Governor didn’t meet the edge to be conceded the request.

The seat additionally noticed that the issue of swearing-in Kananu was not among the grounds brought by Sonko up in his allure.

“We track down that the issue of the swearing-in of the eleventh respondent was not brought up in the High Court and the censured judgment didn’t address or confirm that issue,” Justices Wanjiru Karanja, Jamila Mohammed and Jessie Lesiit said.

Sonko moved to the Court of Appeal in a bid to persuade it to arrange a business as usual – as a result, guaranteeing that Kananu doesn’t expect office until his allure is not really set in stone.

He said he was uneasy that should Kananu become the considerable Governor, then, at that point, his allure would be delivered futile and that regardless of whether he was to succeed and the court was to find that his denunciation was inappropriate, then, at that point, it would imply that he would not have the option to get back to his previous work.
IMPEACHMENT WOES
Sonko’s impeachment woes began on November 26 last year after a notification for his evacuation was stopped at the Nairobi County Assembly by Michael Ogada.

On December 3, MCAs met to impugn Sonko and a goal for his expulsion was passed. This continued to the Senate and a goal was given December 17 to eliminate him from office.
Sonko then, at that point, recorded an appeal testing the reprimand as the Speaker of the Assembly, Mr Benson Mutura, was confirmed as the acting lead representative. Mutura later ventured down after Kananu was considered and confirmed as Deputy Governor.

Sonko’s appeal was along these lines excused by a seat of three appointed authorities of the High Court in June. The court tracked down that the denunciation interaction completely conformed to established and legal necessities, inciting Sonko to move to the Court of Appeal.

In his allure, Sonko scrutinized the support of MCAs and their direct during the arraignment.

He blamed the High Court’s choice saying the adjudicators neglected to appropriately address the protected infringement he organized in his appeal.
