PRESIDENT RUTO MOURNS NYAMIRA COUNTY MAJORITY LEADER

President William Ruto condoled with the people of Nyamira, following the death of Majority leader Elijah Osiemo.
Osiemo who was also the Nyamai MCA died following a road accident along Maai Mahiu- Naivasha Road on Mñonday, 9th August afternoon.
“We join the people of Nyamira in mourning the passing of County Majority Leader Elijah Osiemo following a road accident Monday evening,” Ruto said in a statement on Tuesday.
Osiemo was in the company of two other Members of the County Assembly, among them Deputy Majority leader Duke Masira and their driver who sustained injuries from the accident.
“We pray for the quick recovery of his deputy Duke Masira and nominated MCA Priscilla Nyatichi, who are in hospital undergoing treatment,” President Ruto added.
The three MCAs were travelling to Nairobi for a meeting when the driver of the vehicle they were travelling in lost control.
The vehicle overturned into the escarpment in Mai Mahiu, Narok.
