Migori Tragedy: Daughter finds mother’s body in Family Well.

A 63year old woman who had gone missing in Suna West, Migori County, was found dead in a well.

It is reported that the woman, who has been identified as Grace Awino, went missing on Monday June 1st, before her daughter discovered her body inside the well on Tuesday 2nd.

Suna West sub-county police commander, Chripine Ogutu, said that investigations have been launched into the matter, confirming that the woman died under unclear circumstances.

“The body was found in a well within the woman’s compound by her daughter. We have since launched an investigation into the death to determine whether it was an accident, a case of taking her own life, or if foul play may have been involved.” Ogutu said.

The body has since been moved to the Migori County Referral Hospital for preservation where police are expected to conduct a post-mortem as part of their investigations into her death.
