Kisii County Says “yes” to the BBI bill

The Kisii County Assembly on Thursday became the eight-county in-country to pass the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI), Bill.
It has joined seven other counties which have already passed the bill such as West Pokot, Siaya, Kisumu, and Busia, both of which voted on Tuesday.
The bill requires a minimum of 24 county assemblies to be given a go ahead for tabling in the National assembly.
Baringo county became the first county to reject the bill on February 11, a day that became chaotic, with police officers being forced to use teargas to disperse legislators from the assembly.
