ARMS FACTORY LAUNCH IN RUIRU

The president was accompanied by the interior CS Fred Matiang’I to the National Security Industries in Ruiru, Kiambu County .The President Uhuru Kenyatta has commissioned the opening of an arms factory in Ruiru that had been initially valued at 15 billion, is aimed at enhancing the country’s self-reliance through local production of security equipment’s .He says the factory is the game changer to the government security for it’s been difficulty to acquire army during this period of pandemic. The country has been able to save a total of 11 billion shillings after sourcing expertise from the country who used 4 billion shillings compered to if they could have sourced from outside the country for their price was almost twice what was used to set up the firm. The president says that this factory has helped eliminate the middle men during the purchase of the army hence saving the purchase cost by home production. The arms will be customized depending on the need of the arms to the national security .Another firm will be built at the Rift valley. This firm will have many benefits to the nations including enhancement of national security from all corners ,supply arm components of all kinds, it would provide jobs to the youths according to his big four agenda and the vision 2030 that is for the direct and indirect to the youths. It would help design quality armary through local production which would easy the effectiveness of security in the country. He finished by thanking the youths and production team that is responsible to making this production plant being successful. The factory will manufacture small arms for five years before scaling to light arms after then. It’s able to manufacture 1000 guns a month revolving to 12,000 guns in a years.
