Meru family in agony as DNA reveals identity of kin

A family in Meru is in deep sorrow after a DNA test results have confirmed the identity of their missing son, Fredrick Gitiye.The remains were found in Nyambene forest.

For the Gitiye family,the DNA report provided a final answer.The shift from “missing” to confirmed loss is a difficult moment as they currently await further developments from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) in Igembe south.

With that the family’s agony is further compounded by the uncertainty of the circumstances sorrounding their son’s death as the DCI continues to investigate the case.
