Weather Update, Kisii County

Several areas in Kisii County are expected to experience heavy rains this week. This is according to the weather weekly brief that has been released by the meteorological department, Kisii County.
The director of the department, Mr. Henry Sese said the maximum temperature will range between 22Oc to 27Oc while the minimum temperature will be between 10Oc to 150c.
Showers and thunderstorms are expected in several places especially in the evening hours till Monday 9th, September. Tuesday and Wednesday morning hours will be characterized by sunny intervals with moderate rains being experienced for the rest of the week same time
“The county of Kisii is expected to be wet daily for the whole of this week. Residents of Kisii County are advised to avoid walking in open fields and taking shelter under trees while it rains to minimize exposure to lightning strikes and risks of falling weak branches,” Read part of the statement.
The farmers have also been advised to consult the departments of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, and Co-operative Development for the types of activities to be undertaken.
