The mellifluous Blue Stocking, Bombshell and Trailblazer Ellen Gould Harmon White advise me and thee via the second volume of Mind, Character, And Personality in its 601 pages and in its fourth paragraph that, “That which at first seemeth difficult; by constant repetitions grows easy.”
On the battlefields across Europe, incalculable soldiers were losing blood and dying prematurely.
One: artistic, bright-eyed, bushy-tailed, creative, romantic, imaginative, Imagineer, innovative, paradoxical, pliable, productive, rational, social,, and spiritual genius; assiduously, conscientiously, and ingeniously crafted the blood bank by separating it, freezing it,, and reconstituting it safely and soundly as a Fort Knox.
Regrettably,, in 1950, severe injuries stemming from a car accident birthed, heralded, and ushered his immature demise at the tender age of only 45 years only.
Ironically: the life-saving technique that he devised could not rescue him. He established the first blood donation berths. He is the Black African Medical Researcher and Surgeon Mr.Charles Richard Drew who was born on Friday,3rd.June.1904 and gave up the ghost on Saturday, the 1st.April.1950.
Reverberating the maxim stated by the eminent sculptor Consultant on Leadership and Personal Development, Speaker,, and gilt-edged Author Mr.Frank Sonnenberg, “Blood is a parachute- it is only versatile when it is given freely and it is open as pique.
Just as a parachute saves lives by slowing descent, blood donation provides a lifeline to those in need, offering hope and renewals.
Let us keep our hearts open and our cuffs capered with our sleeves rolled up ready to make a difference; one donation at a time.” Every heartbeat counts and matters. There are valuable muted and unsung heroes and heroines amidst us globally.
