STUDENT LOSES TESTICLE OVER CORPORAL PUNISHMENT

A 19-year-old student from Nyabisia Secondary School in Bobasi is still recuperating at Hema Hospital where he is currently admitted after one of his testicles was removed by doctors who narrated the ordeal he underwent at the hands of his teachers.
Police officers in Kisii County have launched a search for the responsible teachers from that School over alleged corporal punishment dispensed to the student for purportedly flaunting examination rules.
The student recounted the ordeal where during the ongoing examinations at their school, students got access to a circulating leaked paper before one of the teachers caught him in the company of other students.
He painfully narrated how five teachers, including his maths teacher and the school’s security guard, pounced on him with kicks and blows before he was taken to a school’s ‘torture chamber’ where he was tied to a log, both limbs apart to make him unable to resist beatings.
Unable to bear the pain the student pleaded with his teachers to instead cancel his paper when one of them inflicted a sharp pain below his belt to an extent that he couldn’t walk anymore.
Doctors from Hema Hospital in the same county have explained that they had to completely remove one of the testes since it was completely wrecked as a result of severe beatings.
Furthermore, it is alleged that when teachers realized the harm caused, they told the victim not to report the matter to the school head.
Efforts of the media to talk to the school head didn’t bear fruit.
Even so, Kisii Police Commander Charles Kases has vowed to tongue-lash the culprits.
