It’s back in the headlines in South Africa after a white first-year student was caught urinating on the property of a black student at Stellenbosch University.
The black pupil, according to sources in the South African media, was sound asleep when he heard footsteps in the room.

The student can be heard in the video asking the white student why he’s peeing on his possessions, as captured by the camera.

According to the BBC, the event has been investigated and the white student has been suspended from the university.

According to the BBC, “the university has indicated the event will be examined and additional measures including expulsion and criminal charges may be taken,” they write.

Stellenbosch Institution spokesman Martin Viljoen issued a statement in which he said that the university “strongly condemns the damaging, unpleasant, and racist conduct. ”

It’s been said that the victim is still in a state of shock and is attempting to come to terms with what occurred.
