Countrywide results for the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) national examinations will be delivered by May 10 as the Education CS George Magoha said.
The Education CS was talking at the Nairobi School where he supervised the finishing of the exam and announced the activity was a 99.9 percent achievement.
He also added that they encountered several malpractices during the period as some supervisors opened the papers before the exam time and he assured that such cases were dealt with accordingly.
The Education CS also said that the names of Teachers found with such exam malpractices during the period will be submitted to the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) for disciplinary activity.
CS Magoha also said 27 authorities were deprived of their obligations as centre administrators, supervisors, and invigilators for abusing examination laws.
Additionally, 53 mobile phones were taken from some candidates, and security agencies are conducting thorough forensic investigations to find out if they were used to aid any form of exam malpractice.
Finally, the CS congratulated the 752,891 candidates who sat for the exam despite the challenges brought about by the covid-19 pandemic.
