In every dawn, a subtle rise,
A whispering call to reach the skies.
Not in leaps, but step by step,
One percent, a pledge we kept.

In mind and heart, a daily stride,
Where tiny shifts become our guide.
Through valleys deep and mountains high,
We grow beneath the open sky.

Each word we speak, each thought we sow,
One percent, the roots that grow.
In deeds of kindness, softly sown,
One percent, a garden grown.

With every stumble, lesson learned,
One percent, the tables turned.
Through sweat and tears, we persevere,
One percent, year after year.

For greatness comes not all at once,
But in the daily dance and nuanced nuance.
One percent, our constant friend,
Until the very end.

So let us cherish, let us glean,
The power in this subtle sheen.
For in the journey, we’re content,
With growing by one percent.

Disturb us oh! ALMIGHTY LORD GOD,

When we are too pleased with ourselves,

When our dreams have come true,

Because we have dreamed too little,

When we arrived safely,

Because we sailed too close to the shore.

Disturb us oh! ALMIGHTY LORD GOD

When with the abundance of things we possess,

We have lost our thirst for the waters of life,

Having fallen in love with life,

We have ceased to dream of eternity,

And in our efforts to build a new earth,

We have allowed our vision

Of the new Heaven dim.

Disturb us oh! ALMIGHTY LORD GOD, to dare more intrepidly,

To venture on wider seas where storms will show your mastery,

Where losing sight of the land,

We shall find the stars.

We ask Thee to push back the horizons of our hopes;

And  to push into the future,

In strength, courage, hope and love.

In Jesus Christ’s impeccable name I believe in,

I subscribe into, I trust in, I obey and pray through:

Amen.

Sir Francis Drake.

In 1984, the cars’ manufacturers General Motors was the number one formidable force in cars’ sales pedestal. Domiciled in California, Fremont Factory, one of the GM’s factories started encountering problems hinged on productivity outlay and quality standards. 20% of their workforce had gone missing so they were compelled to hire other workers temporarily.

They also suffered from 5,000 unsolved grievances with the unions;it took them twice the more time needed than other manufacturers.General Motors came up with the idea of bringing down their curtains. The Japan domiciled giant Toyota Cars’ Manufacturer saw a living opportunity. Nummi was the brand that Toyota came up with by amalgamating with General Motors. Toyota promised to hire the same workforce with the same unions; with the same salaries and not to hire anyone.

Out of the 114 positions that they had in hierarchy, Toyota sized them into only four positions.

For the first 100 lower hierarchy positions, they came up with one called the Team’s Member.

On management, three positions namely the Plant’s Manager, Team’s Leader and the Group’s Leader were birthed and implemented.

Since that time till today, Toyota implements the Kaizen Philosophy: everyone’s suggestion and ideas count and matter.

In European and in the USA factories, around 10,000 ideas are brought and incubated annually.

At the Toyota Company, 1,000,000 ideas are birthed and implemented annually.

Within one year, the company graduated int the cutting edge position of one of the most productive companies globally.

Gingerly they scraped through having only one default per car instead of twelve.

Cars were assembled in half the time.Grievances dwindled. The same unhappy people working for the General Motors were now calm, cool, composed, collected, ecstatic, serene and tranquil; smiling all the way to the financial berths.

Admittedly: the working environment was the same; the workforce was the same and the tools were the same. Undeniably, the results were jaw dropping!

Cross pollinated minds plus cross fertilized ideas equals masterpieces and successes mentally, physically, socially and spiritually.

The best ideas stem from the foot soldiers and not from the Generals.

No matter how skyrocketing you are, you cannot see tomorrow.

No matter how affluent you are, 6 pallbearers shall carry you to the grave.

No matter how light skinned you are, the torch lights for you in the coal pitch, black, dark and gloomy night.

If you pride in your beauty and handsomeness of the paint; does it not dawn upon you that: tribes of monkeys, mobs of gorillas, herds of hippopotamuses, herds of warthogs and parliaments of owls awe tourists from all the four cardinal points into our jurisdictions?

Do not look down upon anyone unless you are admiring his or her pairs of feet wear.

Do not blow your own trumpet unless you are in an orchestra.

A closed mind is an empty mind.
Feather by feather, the entire goose is plucked in all its cranny, crevice and nook.
